Wicker Park Seafood & Sushi Bar: Reviews & Ratings
I was on the last lap of a very delayed and long travel day. Was nice to stop here and tuck into some sushi while waiting for my flight. You won't get terribly attentive service, but that's okay.
My partner and I shared 2 orders of the Spicy Tuna and one of the California Roll. Both were delicious but the tuna was definitely our favorite. (It comes with eight pieces but we were so hungry we forgot to take a picture first, thus the six pieces you see in the photo) As others have noted, it's a little expensive, but considering this is an airport, the service was very quick, and the sushi was delicious, I think it makes sense and is really worth it. This corner of the airport is relatively quiet as well. Over all, a great experience!
I don’t usually eat at the airport, but after a delayed flight I went to try some sushi rolls and poke here. I was quite pleasantly surprised with the food quality and taste. The tuna and salmon in the poke bowls were really tasty. The sushi rolls were good as well. The drinks were really refreshing and made well. Super friendly waitress!! Is there an extra star for providing a quiet and comfortable spot to relax until the flight? Maybe...
My husband and I ate dinner here on a Sunday and had a pretty good experience. I have gluten and dairy food allergies so I wanted to make sure I could get gluten free rolls and I was able to. The hostess was clueless and couldn’t even tell us if there were gluten free options, nor could she bother to put in the effort to hand my husband a menu when he asked. I wonder how many people with gluten allergies have not stopped here because of her since she was working during both our treks through the airport. Other than her terrible attitude, the waitress was very sweet and attentive and reassured us that the rolls could be made gluten free and the chefs were good about gluten allergies. She did mention that any of the rolls could be made gluten free and I believe the bowls can be gluten free also. We ordered 3 rolls to share (2 gluten free) and I had no issues at all. The portion size was large and the rolls were good- much better than supermarket sushi as other reviews have commented. They even had tamari. There wasn’t a lot of noise from people walking by and the chairs were pretty comfortable as well. If we have another layover at O’Hare while traveling, we will definitely be stopping again!
Great service, good food and fantastic atmosphere. A great place to grab some delicious healthy food at O’Hare airport. They were not too busy and there were plenty of seats. The salad was delicious and the Unagi bowl was absolutely scrumptious! I will definitely stop by again!
This was one of the busiest food places that we walked past in the Chicago O'Hare airport. It was self seating but once we took a few steps in, a staff member guided us to a table. We both ordered a salmon poke with hot sauce on the side. The salmon was incredibly fresh. We were really impressed. Service was also prompt and the staff were all so kind.
Location: Terminal 2, between E/F (Security Checkpoint 5) and walkway to Terminal 1. Coming from E/F you'll pass Starbucks, MAC, then Coach and you're there. Craving sushi on arrival at ORD, the location of the only sushi spot was my main question. See the screenshot map and pictures with reference to signs if still confused! The service is QR code based, so no personality but pretty quick. When you find a seat and order from your phone, food will be dropped right at your seat. Be patient through the ordering screens, connection was slow for me. There's a manager who occasionally walks around if you need help. Rolls were very servicable and fresh! Above my expectations for airport sushi.
Some folks need to level the expectations. This is an airport. I travel extensively and this is the ONLY airport sushi I will eat. Today on a layover, breakfast Poke bowl. Sushi here is really good, fresh, flavorful. Staff is very curious and prompt. Again, airport. I don’t expect gush and butt kissing for a better tip. I’m here to eat, pay and get to flight. HIGHLY recommend, I always make time for sushi at Wicker Park if the connection allows.

Customer experiences at Wicker Park are consistently positive. Many travelers appreciate the quick service, with reviews highlighting the quality of the sushi as a delightful surprise for an airport dining venue. For instance, Stephen Heiner noted how satisfying it was to enjoy delicious sushi while waiting for his flight, despite the limited attentiveness of the staff. R. Glennie and Tom Do Yoon Kim echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the remarkable taste and freshness of the sushi rolls, specifically the Spicy Tuna, which many guests couldn't get enough of.
